Gazprom-Media Holding, SME Corporation, and RACA announce launch of educational project for small and medium-sized businesses
This was announced during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023.
The project by Gazprom-Media Sales House, SME Corporation, and RACA is aimed at business owners and marketers, young entrepreneurs, the self-employed, and anyone interested in developing their business opportunities and finding new promotional tools. Gazprom-Media Sales House is part of Gazprom-Media Holding, the general media partner of SPIEF 2023.
One of the most common requests we receive from our entrepreneurs is for help finding promotion channels. In other words, our small and medium-sized businesses are capable of creating a sought-after product or service, but often wonder how to promote it to potential customers. The primary objective of the course we are developing is to help entrepreneurs make sense of what opportunities they have to promote their business and its products, as well as how to use certain media channels and advertising tools to address specific business challenges. In 2022 and 2023, the corporation hosted over 150 events on the subject for more than 15 thousand people.
The new project covers subjects of utmost importance to entrepreneurs. They include media planning essentials, brand building, and creative content. Expert interviews and discussions on the legal side of advertising are also part of the learning process.
According to analysts, 90% of Russian entrepreneurs would like to acquire new knowledge and skills that they could utilize for business development. Marketing and advertising are identified as one of the top three key areas of development that the SME community is interested in. I am glad that the project that we have initiated responds to the needs of entrepreneurs.
Experts from the Gazprom-Media Sales House, SME Corporation, and RACA will be among the speakers at the training course. Representatives from advertising agencies, lawyers, business analysts, and current entrepreneurs will also share their professional knowledge.
An applied training project of this scale for entrepreneurs is essential for the entire Russian business landscape, given the constant emergence of new advertising technologies. I am confident that the knowledge gained from leading industry experts will enable many companies to carve out a niche in the market, expand their presence in relevant communication channels, and develop effective promotion strategies. As the largest association of advertising industry professionals, RACA is excited to be a part of this project.
The initiators of the project will be launching it over the course of 2023. All the materials will be available in the Business Education section of the SME.RF digital platform.
For reference: training SME representatives, as well as people planning to start their own business, in basic business practices, financial literacy, and other entrepreneurial skills is part of the national project, “Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative”. The execution of the project is overseen by Andrey Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
