Experts of YARKO and Gazprom-Media Sales House participated in the Market of Licensed Goods for Children forum

On September 26, the 6th Business Forum “Market of Licensed Goods for Children” took place in Moscow as part of the Mir Detstva (World of Childhood) 2023 exhibition. Olga Kritskaya, Head of the Licensing Agency of YARKO Animation Company, and Eduard Ayrapetyan, Managing Director of Licensing at Gazprom-Media Sales House, participated in the event.

During one of the Forum sessions, Olga Kritskaya spoke about how to choose a successful license and negotiate a profitable contract with a rights holder. According to Olga, specialized exhibitions like World of Childhood help companies that are not yet working with licenses but are beginning to consider it, providing a maximum of useful information from market leaders.

Eduard Ayrapetyan, Managing Director of Licensing at Gazprom-Media Sales House, took part in the educational session of the exhibition, where he spoke about the specifics of working with licensed products for teenagers.

The growth of leading licensors who left the Russian market was driven by the licensing offer for the 12+ audience. Their departure has led to scarcity in the segment of licensed goods for teenagers aged from 12 to 18. At the same time, according to data from the Federal State Statistics Service as of January 1, 2023, such a brand-oriented audience comprises 12 million people in the country. Offering new media franchises is especially important at this juncture.
